Kari and Margit Niemi Kari and Margit are both primary school teachers by profession, but have also long been involved in working with the church. The Niemis have preached the Word of God throughout Finland and Sweden. Their focus is on working with youth, for example, at camps, youth nights, and other youth events. With Margit’s support and positive influence, Kari has served as a youth leader in the Pentecostal churches of Vääksy and Heinola. In addition to the above, his duties have included serving at gospel outreaches and Holy Spirit Nights for all ages where worship is a significant factor. At the center of the couple’s spiritual work is teaching the Word in such a way that it can be transferred to people’s daily practices. Kari and Margit Niemi belong to the local Pentecostal church in Heinola. During the 2004-2008 election term, Kari was a member of the Heinola city council. He was recently elected to the boards of two organisations, TV7's Ristin Tuki ry and Ruokkikaa Nälkäiset.
